UK universities are not making engineers! A recently published article in Guardian website claims it is a fact.UK universities are not making engineers! A recently published article in Guardian website claims it is a fact.
Experts believe that this would lead to a harmful consequence at the end towards economic growth of this region.
Britain needs engineers for development projects to be completed. But the article indicated the engineering trainees and budding engineers could not meet the requirement set by the industry.
Many people are blaming the education system. The engineering courses are concentrating on the general scientific and mathematical issues. But clearly those are not enough to produce good efficient engineers. The dearth of practical knowledge and measurable distance fro real-world engineering makes them unworthy for the industry.
Some experts completely agreed with the circumstances opining the industry should engage them preparing the course structure. Students are paying hefty amount for engineering degree deserve good jobs.
The whole UK is discussing about this thing. It cannot be implemented overnight, action needed to the positive direction. The universities should start training their students with highly modified design software, forgetting the use of old techniques.
It is still not late to bring the future prospects in engineering sectors.
